Looking very smart in some cold April sunshine Castle Class 4-6-0 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' storms southwards between Banbury and King's Sutton leading the 1Z44 07.57 Birmingham Moor Street to Marylebone charter. It led The Marylebone Flyer all the way to London with 47245 on the rear. This charter was a re-run of the original that was to have run on 13.10.12 but was cancelled due to a failed water carrier. I am glad that I decided to venture out in the morning to capture the outward charter as the return was piloted by 47245 due to a high lineside fire risk.
