Who said that railway enthusiasts are old geezers in anoraks? In the last year or so I have really begun to notice a newer breed of what we would have referred to as trainspotters. However, today there is no notebook and Combined volume in their pocket but rather a smart 'phone recording everything and then uploading it to the web. One of these young enthusiasts films (if a little off the horizontal I might point out!) 90001 'Royal Scot' as it departs from King's Cross leading the London to Castle Howard, Durham, Beamish & Newcastle charter. All went well on the day with timings maintained and 60009 'Sir Nigel Gresley' arriving back in London on time late the same evening.
