Gresley' eases through Northampton's centre road leading the 10.11 Crewe HS to Southall LSL empty stock move. This working had been well published and brought out the enthusiasts in their numbers. Whilst only one is visible in this photograph I was standing in a line of half a dozen with many more dotted about the station. The following day, the train would return north on the ECML as Steam Dreams' London to York charter. I would not normally have gone to the station to capture this train but work commitments took away other options.
