The train was being positioned for a future new stock move of some kind, possibly of a new Merseyrail Class 777 unit. I cannot quite get used to the new look of the HST power cars devoid of their yellow hi-viz front panel. With new lighting fitted at the front, they are exempt from having the yellow panel.
