As usual, 86259 'Les Ross/Peter Pan' leads the 1Z86 charter between Roade and Ashton that left Euston, as usual, at 07.06. On arrival at Carnforth 60009 'Union of South Africa' took over and led the train to Carlisle where the locomotive was turned on the triangle for it to lead south again over the Settle and Carlisle as far as Farington Junction where 86259 again took over to bring the train back to Euston in the evening.
