In absolutely abysmal weather and the half-light of a December morning 50007 'Hercules' (masquerading as 50014 'Warspite' on the other side) makes a heck of a racket as it picks up speed through Wolverton station after its stop at Milton Keynes. It is working the outward leg of the Manchester Christmas Markets charter that actually ended up at Preston. Leaving Euston at 07.48 the train ran into a little trouble later in its journey with 50007 losing power. I really was asking a lot of the camera's abilities taking this photograph but with a little digital jiggery-pokery, a presentable image has been produced!
