the 6X43 09.28 Dagenham Docks to Garston car transporter train. The train contained a good representative example of Ford's car and van range all built in mainland Europe and imported to the UK. They are transported by rail to Garston for distribution around the country by the car giant. Of course, the likelihood is that many of the vehicles will have been fitted with engines that were built at Dagenham and then themselves sent across the channel to be installed into the cars being built abroad; I suppose it makes sense to someone!
