47251, up oil tankers, Bradford-on-Avon station Up until 1990 47251 was a locally based member of the class moving regularly between Cardiff Canton and Bristol Bath Road depots meaning that I will have spotted it often while living near to Bradford-on-Avon. It is seen, unfortunately suffering from a little motion blur, leading an oil tanker train through Bradford-on-Avon in some lovely early winter light. Happily, 47251 is still with us as one of DRS' Thunderbirds now numbered 57302 'Chad Varah'. Previous to this it was one of Virgin's machines named 'Virgil Tracy'.
