Foxton signal box (GN, 1883) At the time of writing in 2023, Foxton 'signal' box is still open and looks very similar and indeed, much smarter to this 1981 view apart from the usual 'upgrades' in the form of new windows, steps and the removal of the external gallery this probably when the line was electrified. Of particular note is the ornate bargeboarding and tall finials both features of many a Great Northern box.
