It is short (probably loss-making) freights such as this that are now almost completely absent from today’s railway and sorely missed by the enthusiast and photographer alike. This particular working was probably a local trip working as, according to the Class 37.co.uk website the locomotive was on March depot both on this day and the previous day only leaving the area working a freight service to Temple Mills the following morning.
