The train is composed of air-braked ETH stock with a BG marshalled, as usual, at the front. It is the wide open unbroken views of the ECML in locations such as this that I remember so fondly; it’s not the same today with the wires in place, palisade fencing and the smart-looking but, rather dull, Azumas passing this same spot but you cannot prevent progress I suppose!
