The rear of Murrow signal box. The box was opened in 1950 by British Railways to an LNER design originally named Murrow West. It was located on the platform end of the station of the same name that was to close just three years later on 06.07.53. Thankfully, the signal box still survives as a private residence and what place it must be to live in!
