68020, TP 16.04 York-Scarborough (1U59, 2E), Scarborough station At the far end of Scarborough station, the 16.04 York to Scarborough TPE service is seen arriving with 68020 'Reliance' propelling at the rear. Behind the gathering of enthusiasts to the left 55009 'Alycidon' is seen now fired up and ready to lead the returning Coronation deltic charter to King's Cross. Unfortunately, things did not go quite to plan with the charter being terminated at Finsbury Park after a complete failure of the Detic at Retford. NB this turned out to be my last photograph of one of TPE's excellent Nova3 sets with the whole fleet being taken out of service and off-lease a couple of months later. Put into 'warm storage' some of the best and newest stock on the network now lies idle; what a shambles.
