Still wearing its Southern livery 170423 passes Rauceby working EMR's 2S23 15.45 Nottingham to Skegness service. When I last visited Rauceby back in 2010 I was informed by the signalman on duty that the box, along with Ancaster to the west, was to be replaced soon when the Sleaford to Lincoln MAS scheme was introduced. Whilst the MAS went live in 2014 it looks like Network Rail's plans changed as thirteen years later semaphore signalling is still in place along with hand-operated crossing gates; long may this continue! Notice the work taking place on the former station house. It looks like the ornate Great Northern bargeboarding is being reinstated; a nice touch.
