Sleaford East signal box (GN, 1882) Whilst Sleaford East signal box ceased to actually control train movements in 2014 when the Lincoln PSB opened it still appears to be open witnessed by a railway employee inside and the end window being open. I am not sure what role it fulfils but it is possibly just for the operation of the gates as there appeared to be no CCTV present to remotely monitor them; advice, please. Whatever its use, its future is assured as it is a Grade II listed structure. It looks as though it could do with a lick of paint though! Keywords: Sleaford East signal box
