Former Cowbit station (Closed, 11.09.61) Cowbit station closed on 11.09.61 but like many other stations on the former GN & GE Jint line between March and Spalding the building survived and has been turned into a house. In this view, taken from the former level crossing, the down platform is still extant with the trackbed grassed over. I suspect that when the station was open it never saw a Volvo parked on the down platform! Keywords: Former Cowbit station
