Former Postland signal box (GN, 1882)
When I last photographed Postland signal box on 16.08.81 it was in superb condition looking like it had just been in receipt of a paint. Just over forty years later it is still standing (just!) but in need of a little more than a repaint now! The box last signalled a train on the former GN & GE Joint line in 1982 and really needs somebody to take it on now before it is too late but what a project! Notice Andy's trusty Nissan Micra, our steed for many trips, parked near the entrance gate of Fenland Tractors.

NB just a fortnight later the Micra failed its MoT in spectacular fashion needing a huge amount of welding to keep it on the road. Andy took the plunge and had the work done!
