Gate post, Murrow West This lone cast iron gate post looks lost amongst the uncut grass and general detritus at Murrow West. I suspect that it was once associated with the station that closed on 06.07.53 as it was located directly behind it close to the trees and the old containers. The group of lads who turned up to sort through the wood did not seem to understand why I was taking a photograph of this post and I did not explain as I suspect that it would be lost on them!
