Having seen the southbound 4L90 triple-headed a short time earlier the northbound 4M56 is double-headed! I am not sure why the 12.57 London Gateway to Garston was being led by 66593 '3MG Mersey Multimodal Gateway' and 66508 with just the leading locomotive under power. As the train had run on time from the start I suspect failure was not the issue but rather it was a logistical move to return 66508 perhaps to Freightliner's depot at Crewe where the train had a lengthy and scheduled layover. The train is seen passing Roade from the village's Hyde Road bridge. Thanks to Mike and Freightmaster for identifying the trailing Class 66 whose number could not be seen from the photograph.
