Former St. James Deeping station Located on the so-called Lincolnshire Loop Line (Werrington Junction to Spalding) the former St. James Deeping station building is seen. The station opened in 1849 to serve residents of Deeping St. James with the Great Northern altering the name of the station as was often the case at this time. Bradshaw used the local spelling in one edition of his esteemed guide only to revert to the GNR’s spelling in the next edition.
