For a strike day, I was surprised at the number of service trains running whilst I was at Tallington crossing waiting for a far more interesting train. One such strike-breaking service was the 1D09 10.05 King's Cross to Leeds service worked by 800202 and 800210. For once I was actually grateful for it being an essentially cloudy morning as this photograph would have been into the sun had it been a clear day. The eastern side of the footbridge at Tallington that was installed when the line was electrified offers much better photographic opportunities.
