Nameplate, 43153 GW 14.00 Cardiff Central-Penzance (2C70, 30L), Weston-super-Mare station
The Class 255 Castle HST power cars carry proper nameplates
on their flanks. The names all relate to castles throughout the area where they operate; a nice touch! The plates are quite ornate and very nicely produced in the best spirits of the GWR as seen here at Weston-super-Mare where 43153 'Chûn Castle' has paused working the delayed 14.00 Cardiff to Penzance service. Chûn Castle is a large Iron Age hillfort near Penzance built two and half thousand years ago; I doubt that the evergreen HST sets will quite match that age but they are doing pretty well approaching fifty!
