43378, XC 06.06 Edinburgh Waverley-Plymouth (1V50, 9L), Bristol Temple Meads station As we were approaching Stapleton Road station aboard 168205 CrossCountry's 1V50 06.06 Edinburgh to Plymouth HST service passed us on the fast line. We did not expect it to still be at Temple Meads when we arrived but were pleased that it was even if we were on the wrong side of the station. In this interesting view, which shows evidence of the massive refurbishment of the trainshed, the rear power car, 43378, is seen through a gap in the platform. Even though it looks a little brighter it was still raining, as it did for the whole of our day out really!
