With 158768 stabled for the day in Bristol Temple Meads' platform one, dubbed the Motorail platform, the ramp can clearly be seen that cars used to drive up on to the open cartic flats. In addition, the gated entrance through the side of the station is seen that permitted car drivers and their vehicles access to the loading ramp. The thing that strikes one is the size of the entrance, back in the 1970s it would have been fine for a Ford Cortina or an Austin Maxi but would today's MPVs get through; I'm not so sure!
