The unit is at the far western side of Temple Meads in what is officially called Bristol TM Plat 2 Motorail according to RTT. The rather primitive concrete ramp in the foreground was used by drivers to gain access to the Motorail flats that would have been marshalled into the bay platform. With the forthcoming redevelopment and transformation of this part of the station, I suspect that this ramp will be removed sometime soon.
