The things that we do in the pursuit of our hobby: in absolutely torrential rain 43029 'Caldicot Castle' is captured waiting to leave Bristol Temple Meads with the 2C69 09.00 Cardiff to Penzance service. Having taken the shot with hopefully the right camera settings and reasonably well-composed I dashed back to the shelter of the canopy! Notice that these services carry a Class 2 prefix in their reporting number classifying them as an 'ordinary passenger train'. It seems a bit of a demotion for the HSTs that would have carried a Class 1 prefix throughout their previous working lives.
