Built at York (underframe) and St. Rollox (body and assembly) in 1958 GUV (General Utility Van) was a Midland-allocated vehicle. However, the nature of these GUVs meant that they were found and ended up all over the country. At some time in its life, it became a newspaper van and had ceiling-mounted heating added. Ending its career allocated to Bristol Marsh Junction it was withdrawn in 1995 seeing just under forty years in service. It is a long-term resident of the Northampton and Lamport Railway having arrived the year after its withdrawal in 1996 and is used for general storage.
