Andy and I pre-booked our outward tickets and collected them

at Wellingborough station prior to departure for Harpenden. By splitting the journey at Harlington it saved a couple of pounds but even so the fare was a little pricy as we chose to depart during the dreaded and somewhat outdated 'peak' time. With the post-COVID changes to work and travelling patterns the peak/off-peak system really does need to be fundamentally re-thought.
