With problems on the lines further south towards Euston northbound locals were subject to delays and cancellations. Whilst waiting for a later train that would drop us at Tring 66528 'Madge Elliott MBE Borders Railway Opening 2015' passed northwards leading the 4M88 Feisxtowe to Ditton Freightliner. Unfortunately, this train ran into difficulties later in its journey being terminated at Crewe Basford Hall.
