The 6M45 06.34 Dollands Moor to DIRFT ‘water train’ is in the final few miles of its journey as it passes Victoria bridge just south of Roade whilst the diverted 4043 05.27 Wakefield Europort to Didcot continues its rather convoluted diverted journey south led, as it was yesterday, by 66148 66148 ‘Maritime Intermodal Seven’. Unlike yesterday’s run that went straight through to Southampton today it was to continue along the GWML from Reading to Didcot. After a short break during which I presume the locomotive ran round, it retraced its steps back to Reading and then south to Southhampton running now as 4O43 which is the correct reporting number for this train.
