It is a little unusual to see an engineering train

such as this, the 14.16 Bescot Yard to Tring 6G65 on a Thursday normally seeing them at the weekend. However, with engineering work planned this weekend coming it looks like Network Rail is getting themselves ready by getting the ballast close to the work site lead on this occasion by former DRS 66302. Passing just south of Roade the relatively short train took a slightly out-of-the-way route heading all the way south to Wembley Yard to then retrace its steps to Tring arriving much later in the evening.
