The first train of the interesting Sunday afternoon trilogy passes
southbound through Roade cutting. Europheonix’s 37611 ‘Pegasus’ as the 0H72 13.30 Derby RTC to Wembley Yard travelled south along the MML from Derby to Wigston North Junction where it headed west for a reversal at Nuneaton before continuing south via the WCML route through Rugby and Northampton. This working would more commonly take the MML further south to Bedford where it would take the Marston Vale line to Bletchley. I am not sure why it took the more circuitous route today but I am not complaining!
