A close-up of a brand new Class 197 unit wearing its unbranded TfW livery as it passes through Roade cutting taken from Hyde Road bridge. On the week that this photograph was taken the first of these Spanish-built CAF units had just entered service with TfW. This example was difficult to identify as it appeared to have no numbering either bodyside or on the front. However, a close examination of the white sheet of A4 paper sellotaped to the interior of the cab window revealed it to be 197014. Out of sight on the front Freightliner's 66531 was towing the ensemble as the 6Q98 10.35 Crewe Basford Hall to Wolverton Works.
