Prestatyn signal box (LNW c.1897) Prestatyn signal box was located at the western end of the station in this popular North Wales resort town. Up until 1931 this box was actually named Prestatyn Number 2 with Number 1 being to the east of the station. However, this box was extended and Number one was closed. The box is a London and North Western Type 4 structure that opened in 1897 and closed on 26.03.18 with the opening of the Rhyl workstation in the Wales Railway Operating Centre (Cardiff).
