When at the DRS open day a week previously Mike and I spoke with a driver on a number of issues. One thing that he confirmed was that a heavily loaded train heading south from Northampton towards Roade can be quite a battle for a Class 66, especially when it is held at the station necessitating a standing start prior to making the climb.
