Crewe Basford Hall has become the long-term home for the

withdrawn fleet of Freightliner Class 86s following their replacement by the newer (but still relatively old in Railway terms) former Greater Anglia class 90s. In this view eight members of the class are seen stored awaiting an appointment with the scrap man with many more further away further north within the yard.
