Dead in tow at the rear of The Royal Charter D1924 'Crewe Diesel Depot' is seen in the very poor half-light on a dull early summer's evening. Running as 1Z70 the train left Windsor & Eton Riverside at 18.13 returning to Crewe with 70000 'Britannia' leading the train throughout in both directions.
