Andy and I had to revise our journey plans a

little earlier in the day due to rail replacement busses (that we did not want to use for obvious reasons) operating between Leicester and Peterborough. On arrival at Nottingham, we took the 09.08 Crewe to Newark Castle train to its destination. I do not think that I have travelled on this route before but Andy and did survey the line some years ago prior to the modernisation of it and the associated removal of the mechanical signalling. 170532 arrives at Nottingham that we travelled on to Newark and then back again.
