I was about to give up and go home when it suddenly reappeared having obviously gone off route at Bletchley to then get going again towards Milton Keynes. I had a pleasant wait above Roade cutting while it headed north towards me seen here with 66050 'EWS Energy' leading. This locomotive really is a 'blast from the past' being still in EWS livery complete with all branding and even carrying an EWS pair of nameplates back from the days when it would have been hauling all manner of coal trains around the country - remember those times?
