 Having earlier in the day worked the 1B68 from Paddington 50014 'Warspite' is seen again passing Aller Junction. Rather than simply running as an empty stock move BR actually operated the Mk. II stock from the down Paddington service as a service train making good use of resources, this time as the 2B31 16.14 Paignton to Newton Abbot stopper. On arrival, the stock would go to the carriage sidings for servicing.
