50035 'Ark Royal' only emerged from it's refurbishment and repaint into large logo livery six weeks or so prior to this photograph being taken and it still looks very smart! It is seen thundering along the South Devon sea wall on the approach to Parson's tunnel. leading the 09.32 Penzance to Wolverhampton service. This was an odd service terminating in the middle of the Black Country and I am not at all sure if the Class 50 hauled it all the way; advice anybody?
