Taken from the southern end of Avoncliff's aqueduct that carries the Kennet and Avon canal from one side of the valley to the other a Class 50 is seen. It is leading an unidentified up diversion composed of a rake of Mk. II stock with a Mk. I buffet/restaurant coach and the ubiquitous Mk. I BG marshalled behind the locomotive. Notice the heard of Friesian cattle at the far end of the field that all appear to be sitting down perhaps indicating that rain is on its way?
