Little Mill Junction signal box is a lovely GWR structure dating from 1883. In this view, it looks largely in its as-built state with timber window frames, a cast plate, a slate roof and a pair of finials. The only visual change is the bricking up of the locking room windows that was probably undertaken during wartime. It sits at the point where the line to Usk, Monmouth and ultimately Ross-on-Wye diverged from the Marches route. There was also a station at this point until closure on 30.05.55. I revisited this spot during a trip in 2016, see......
