I have to add that the return journey was absolutely faultless with all trains running to time apart from a small delay arriving into Gloucester caused by us having to wait for a late-running Crosscountry Voyager to pass us at Bristol Parkway. Quite why this could not have overtaken us on the now re-quadrupled track from Dr. Day's Junction and up Ashely bank to Filton is a little beyond me as it was right behind us.
