It has been somewhat remiss of me not to be

recording the HS2 developments just after leaving New Street tunnels in Birmingham over the last two years or so. I have vowed to be more regular with my photographs when passing the spot over the coming months and years. With the Curzon Street station building now enclosed in a plastic sarcophagus to protect it from the HS2 works going on all around it! When the construction is completed sometime in 2026 (maybe?) the Grade 1 listed 1832 building will form an integral part of the grand new HS2 terminus being located to the northern side of the new structure.
