57009 brings up the rear of a mysterious RHT train at Thorpe Junction immediately southeast of Norwich station. With nothing showing on RTT I presume that the out of service train was heading back to its base at Stowmarket. 57009 was one of the twelve Class 57 converted between 1997 and 1999 for use by Freightliner as a stopgap prior to the introduction of the Class 66s. When in service with the freight operator in their green livery it was named 'Freightliner Venturer'. Prior to its conversion, it was numbered 47079 'George Jackson Churchward' that I enjoyed haulage behind way back in 1977, see.... https://www.ontheupfast.com/p/21936chg/23615805204/having-pulled-into-platform-15-york
