 At the southern end of Stoke-on-Trent station, an unidentified Class 390 Pendolino leaves working the 10.15 Manchester to Euston service whilst a Class 220 Voyager arrives with the 06.37 Bournemouth to Manchester train. This view clearly shows the wide gap between the up and down lines that until relatively recently had a relief 'through' track that was removed in 2009, a retrograde step I wonder?
