 Having been in service earlier in the day Class 17 Clayton D8568 rests at Kidderminster depot. I am not sure if it had developed a problem but it was supposed to be working the 16.55 Kidderminster to Bewdley shuttle in the next few minutes? Behind the Clayton, shrouded in a tarpaulin, is 37308 the last built member of the class. Since entering preservation back in 2007 it has been undergoing a protracted restoration at various locations but extensive and largely unseen rust around the cab ends and floors has slowed progress greatly. Work is underway again being undertaken by the SVR itself for use on the line.
