Despite no trains having run on the lines that remain deep in the completely overgrown cutting for over twenty years signage and padlocked gates remain the order of the day! The line that once linked the Potteries with Market Drayton (for connections to the Nantwich & Market Drayton and GWR Railways beyond) is truncated a short distance behind me was last in use to carry coal from Silverdale colliery but it is still officially connected to the WCML.
