With brambles having taken over the trackbed the lines that

once carried coal trains to and from Silverdale colliery are still extant at the site of Madley Road station. The colliery closed in 1998 when the trains will have ceased so it is strange that the infrastructure has not been removed. Indeed, it is still connected to the WCML with a colour light visible when passing on trains at the point where the line diverges.
